The following are the areas of practice that we currently cover.
Calvin Mitali is a partner at Equity Juris Chambers and his areas of practice include inter-alia, tax, investment, contracts, immigration and labour matters, investment transactions, intellectual property, conveyancing, capital markets and civil law.
Prior to joining the Firm, Calvin was a prosecutor in Kigali from 1999 until 2000, and as a Legal Advisor at the Investment Promotion Agency until 2007.
Calvin was appointed by the Government of Rwanda to serve on several committees namely; Tax Policy Committee, National Regional Integration Committee and World Bank’s Commercial Law Reform Committee. He represented the Government of Rwanda in the drafting and negotiations of the Bilateral Investment Treaty with United States of America, Common Market of Eastern and Southern Africa Common Investment Area and Double Taxation Agreement with Belgium.
